Is an interactive, site-specific dance performance for children from 1 to 5 years old. It’s a piece where the young audience is invited to play at their regular playground which has now turned into an open performance space. The dancers will interact with the children and make choreographic choices based on the information and interpretation that are being given from the audience and surroundings, live and from earlier observations. That makes the piece vibrant and the content will be different every time. Questions that has inspired this research are: What happens when you turn a playground into an interactive
performance space? How are the kids responding and interacting at a playground? What choices are they making? And why? What is play? Why do kids play? Why don’t adults play? Or do they? How can a performance be influenced and directed by young children?
